Student Ambassador Program
STRING WEEK IN CUBA
October 14-19, 2024
FOR STUDENTS: Travel to Havana, Cuba with a select group of your American peers alongside nationally-recognized CAYO teaching artists. Work side-by-side with Cuban students at one of the island’s performing arts high schools, such as Escuela Nacional de Música and Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán. Students under 18 travel with a parent. Scholarships are available; please inquire at info@cayomusic.org
FOR PARENTS: You’ll have the opportunity to divide your time between observing student activities and exploring the art, music and vibrant culture of Cuba with a dedicated guide. Cuba’s limited access to wifi ensures the emphasis for you and your child will be on face-to-face teaching, learning, growing and bonding through actual human contact.
A foundational part of our humanitarian experience is assembling and delivering providing the tools, supplies and materials that are difficult for Cuban students to acquire in their homeland. The result is thousands of pounds of donations per year to our partner schools in Cuba, helping make the lives of hundreds of students and their families a little bit easier.
